The mission and vision of the Doctoral School
The mission of the ÉDT-DI is to research and shape the culture of built, material and environmental culture through complex research into changing social and economic needs and to meet these needs on a product basis, drawing on the artistic and technical expertise of the closely integrated disciplines of architecture and architecture engineering.
The ÉDT-DI has a vision of solving research and development challenges based on the need for a quality material and environmental culture through the creative application of interdisciplinary knowledge.
Rejecting a self-serving approach that is scientifically evaluable but lacks practical effectiveness, the training is based primarily on the undergraduate and master’s programmes of the OU and on those of universities at home and abroad of a similar level and profile, covering several disciplines and artistic fields, and offering a new type of doctoral training, horizontally organised, geared to results
